On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at approximately 6 a.m., police were responding to an unrelated matter in the area of 118 Avenue and 47 Street when they became aware of a disturbance. Police subsequently observed a seriously injured man emerging from a residence followed by another individual.
Police and EMS provided life saving measures to the man, and he was transported to hospital, where he later died. The other individual was taken into custody without further incident. The deceased and the arrested person are known to one another. Police are not looking for any other suspects.
The EPS Homicide Section assumed the investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2026.
