The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a death that took place over the weekend in central Edmonton. 

On Saturday, May 23, 2026, at approximately 8:38 p.m., Downtown Branch patrol was called to assist EMS at a multi-unit residence in the area of 91 Street and Jasper Avenue. It was reported to police that a 3-year-old female was found deceased inside in a suite.

Due to suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, EPS Homicide Section has assumed the investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
