Police investigating suspicious death in north Edmonton

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a suspicious death in the Calder neighbourhood yesterday evening.

On Monday, March 16, 2026, at approximately 9:20 p.m. Northwest Branch Patrol responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 125 Street and 130 Avenue.  Upon arrival, officers located a deceased 26-year-old male in a nearby greenspace.

Homicide Section is now investigating, and an autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

Investigators are asking anyone with dashcam or doorbell camera footage in the area that was active between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Monday, March 16, to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
