Service changes due to COVID-19
- NOW AVAILABLE: submit your police information check online
- As a result of COVID-19, the Police Information Check Section is taking measures to minimize any risk to EPS members and the general public. Effective Monday, April 13th, the Police Information Check Section will only be accepting online applications until further notice. Please note that PICS applications will not be accepted at EPS divisions. If you require a Police Information Check or a Vulnerable Sector Check, please submit your application online.
- We will continue to accept batch submissions from organizations that we have agreements with.
- An appointment-based system for fingerprinting services has been implemented. Click here for more information.
** Please note: to access the application form, use Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox **
The online Police Information Check application process is fully
electronic, including the results that are emailed back to each
applicant. The Police Information Checks are all completed by members of
the Edmonton Police Service and the Certificate containing the results is
attached to the results email. The Certificate contains the Crest of the
Edmonton Police Service and includes instructions on how employers can validate
the authenticity of the document. View the example here.
The EPS remains committed to maintaining a high level of service with respect to providing police information checks and fingerprinting services to the community.
Citizens are urged to continue referring to this page where further updates will be posted.
